Tiffany Budd BA (Hons) is a British established fine artist, specialising in acrylic painting, coloured pencil and pastel drawing. She studied at Wimbledon School of Art and the University of Plymouth, gaining a degree in Textile Design. The course included Business Studies and Fine Art. After a career in Textile design and then Interior Design, the demand for her artwork increased so much that she became a full time artist. Tiffany’s subjects vary due to the requirements of her clients, but her main subjects are flowers with collage combined, Fractured paintings, and pastel landscapes.
Over the past 13 years and after a visit to the Tate Gallery where The Russian Constructivists (1914-1913) were exhibiting Tiffany was completely blown away by their paintings and drawings. Something was triggered off in her brain, and when she got home she got out her trusty sketchbook and started some ideas. The Russian Constructivists themselves were inspired by the Cubists but reinterpreted the style into something more tangible and recognisable. This is what she was aiming for. She named her style of work, ‘Fractured’. It looks as though the image has been shattered (like glass) and then put together again. Tiffany focuses on perspective and light enhancing those elements with different tones and depth of colour. She works in chalk pastel, acrylic and coloured pencils, which she believes are a really under rated medium! The portability of the pencils are really great, you can take them anywhere!
Tiffany also loves to create a semi Fractured style of art using pastels. She creates images with lots of complementary tones and colour. Using her imagination in her artwork and unique creativity is what she loves to do.
Tiffany has paintings published all over the world and has worked with Marks and Spencers UK on their Wall Art collection, as well as having her paintings reproduced onto ceramic tiles by Fiesta Studios.
